The Freelancer Desktop App has always been a reliable tool for tracking your worked hours. What makes it indispensable is how it increases your earnings by making sure you get paid for every second and every minute that you’re working.

The desktop app has been made even more convenient to use with the most recent update -- the compact view.

This allows you to switch from normal to compact view while keeping the app’s main function of tracking your time. Switching the app to compact view will only take up a little space on your screen.

Switching to Compact View

At the rightmost corner of the app, there is a new icon just beside the Menu. All you have to do is toggle to switch from normal to compact view.

Once you switch to compact view, you can:

  • Track hours whether online or offline

  • Select a project (only Hourly projects in progress are shown)

  • See the last time a screenshot was taken

  • Take a manual screenshot

  • Access the menu

  • See if the app is online or offline (this is the app’s status; it automatically detects if there’s an Internet connection or none)

You can always go back to normal view to access the rest of the desktop app’s features.

Switching from one view to another will not affect your tracked time as long as the timer is running. Moreover, if you went offline, the app will continue to track your hours and capture screenshots, which will be uploaded to the server once you go online again.

Track your time to make sure you get paid for every hour you’ve worked. Download the Freelancer Desktop App today.
