Converting to Word is not a rocket science. Indesign capable to export it to word. But please both these apps are meant for different use. Indesign is a robust Page Layout apps whereas word is always a word processor. So if Indesign has complex layout it's very difficult to keep those layout in Word. If Indesign sas running text then you can simply convert it to word by keeping minimum formatting.

I don't Know but I possibility to convert PDF then (PDF to DOC). But not always work I think. It is only Possible to do Manually. That I mostly do.
