Hi there. The milestone is a partial payment during an ongoing project. When you work on some project, let's say, that you have to translate 5000 words from English to whatever language. You may ask the employer for the milestone payment after every 1000 words. So, you will create 5 milestones (for example) in one project. First milestone payment after 20% of job done, second milestone payment after 40% job done etc.
