As you describe water tank and transfer plate should be sealed. You should use some rubber seal like this "shorturl.at/coE23" (amazon link). You should decide the mist generator position because it may result in splashes. As this is my initial design kindly review and reply on it weather i got you thought clearly or not then will give you some good looking aesthetic. Thanks Regards
