Hello Freelancers

I have written down some pointers on what our requirements are

Logo:

'Talbees’ means camouflage/deceiving. So basically a logo with a hidden meaning would be epic. Colour scheme could be towards black as this is a rock band, but we aren't too heavy.

I believe, a creative logo which could potentially have double meaning which is deceiving at first sight, however, still remaining legible (perhaps separate symbol to the name itself)

There would be two parts of the Logo - 1. Symbol & 2. The Name ‘Talbees’

I would prefer having everything in 2D and while keeping it SIMPLE & ELEGANT. This logo should be appropriate for leaving it standalone (such as a profile picture) or in case we want to layer it over a poster or our images (live gigs etc), it should look decent as well.

The logo should go along with the bands appearance (visit [login to view URL] for pictures & [login to view URL] for our released songs)

Also we would want this logo to be on our album art work, so if you start designing the album art first, then the logo should definitely go well with it.

Album Artwork:

For the Artwork, I will leave it upto you based on our music feel.
Album name: Saa’il [سائل] (which means Questioner or Wanderer)

I guess we need to follow this theme, not saying its a definite but this is our suggestion;

1) Talbees - Camouflauge, Unknown, Hidden Message, Deception
2) Saa'il - Questioner, Curiosity

Our song themes as per each song are;

1. Questioning existence of another human being; and or, Being alone without the significant other.

2. Care free, lost in the abyss, no direction.

3. Happy energetic, possibly intoxicated while expressing feelings for another being.

4. I'm in love, I just want you closer sort of theme.

5. Questioning existence of another being, and left alone so to speak.

Artwork we go for should reflect the themes about the band, the name of the album, and the songs themselves.

      This looks nice.. However, this it giving a very evil feel. Could make it a little happier in the mood. Perhaps by altering colours?

    Hi Freelancers,

    Based on the logo deigns we have received, here are some more pointers

    - Neutral logo, which doesn't incline towards any musical genre at first sight.

    - Simple design which goes well with our look and music (see our facebook page)

    - Mostly single tone colour (so it's easy in the long run to place the logo on any image without worrying about colour scheme)

    - If the logo can incorporate deception, that's a plus!

    - Leaving out any recognizable objects from the logo and perhaps leaving them for the album art (such as instruments, moths, animals, extra terrestrial objects etc)

    - ALL ORIGINAL IDEAS (zero tolerance on this matter)
    PLEASE DO NOT USE ANYTHING WHICH WE HAVE SEEN IN A MOVIE OR COPIED FROM ANOTHER BAND !!

      The logo design should have the following attributes as well:

      - Should be clean & refined
      - Should look very well balanced
      - Should look professional (not going for amateur look)

      We need genuine artist with creative minds who can also sketch by hand (and not only use computer based templates). This is very important for making an album artwork.

    Hello Freelancers.

    When making the artwork for the album, we would like you to provide original ideas and please dont use our photographs. If our own photos are also album artwork then whats the point of coming to freelancer and looking for original material!

    For artwork we want:

    - Something artistic (perhaps doodling)
    - Can have some indie elements (specially colour scheme)
    - Must look cool and should have a epic 'wow' factor

      Yes, we would like it to be very interesting and artistic. Using not too bright colours and can be towards abstract art, with potentially hidden band members sketches like a doodle. Keeping it indie.

      We won't mind having both scripts in there for name. Use Saa'il for now, but feel free to play around and see what looks nicer :)
