We are a new church coming to Ohio in the fall of 2014. Our target audience is the under 50 crowd and especially 20-40. We are looking for a logo design that communicates the following:
1) Our name communicates our ethos which is that Church, when done in the round, actualizes both unity and interconnectedness. Please view the following video to get a feel for Church in the Round http://youtu.be/uENy4-hgkto
2) We have a very non-traditional feel. Our church is postmodern in epistemology and progressive in both feel and practice. We are future.
3) We have a very ancient feel. Our church takes all cues from the ancient Christian church that was formed by the teachings of Jesus. We are ancient.
4) We are ancient-future; we are Church in the Round.

The winning logo design will incorporate something that communicates the "in the Round" ethos. No boxes, no flat lines, only spheres, circles, or "in the Round" creative imagery will be considered. Mostly, we prefer darker designs, possibly a black or dark background. We would also like the following variations included with the logo design: A gray background variation, a white background variation, and a "clean" or "stripped" variation that might include imagery only without the words. Preferably, the main logo will be designed in a horizontal rectangle format with a web page header in mind. The logo also needs to be versatile enough to be used in a vertical square or rectangle layout for documents or other uses. All designs will be original to the designer and no previously copyrighted material will be used. The copyright will be transferred to Sean O'Brien, Vidage, LLC. and Church in the Round and all copyright liability will be released by the designer. We will fully own the entire rights to the design.

The winning designer will provide all final layer files in either Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. The final logo designs will be provided in the following formats:
1) Small, Medium, Large .JPEG
2) Small, Medium, Large .PNG
3) .EPS of original layer file
4) Layer files .PSD or .AI

Entries to the contest only need to submit a single .JPEG or .PNG image for consideration of your main design with the three variations: gray, white, clean.
Extreme creativity will be rewarded, good fortune to all =^)

(this is a contest and only one winning submission will be selected. Contributing a design to this contest is not a guarantee for work, payment, contract or otherwise. Many will submit designs, only one will be chosen. Good luck!).

!Important! Logos will be automatically rejected when they don't meet the brief criteria. Please ensure your submission includes: The main design will be on a dark background, there will be one variation on a gray background, one on a white background, and the "clean" variation can be on dark background and include simply the graphic without the words.

REMINDER, this contest will be open until the 30th of May. Due to a scheduled vacation, the contest holder will be unable to provide feedback for designs posted next week (May 20th-26th). We will provide feedback for all designs AFTER the 26th. Thank you!
