Hi!

I am working on setting up a consultancy that provides geological data management services to Junior Exploration Companies, and as such am looking to get a logo designed to identify the business.

The company name is set to be 'Strata GeoData Services', or 'SGDS', and although the primary purpose is to provide database products, it will also offer consultancy services such as mapping, quality control and report writing.

I am the Sole Proprietor at this time and am registered as a Professional Geoscientist, licensed in Canada, so I want a logo that looks professional, but is not stuffy or antiquated.

The logo could include an image such as a vector designed around the name that could be used elsewhere and become recognizable. The full logo should contain the name of the company too. Please be aware that the logo should be transferrable into other formats such as letterheads, business cards, posters, banners and maybe the software itself.

As for style and colour; well, I am open to ideas. I want it to be very clean and orderly (like data should be!), but also creative. For the colour, again I leave that to the experts, but I do like 'earthy' colours (browns, greens etc) that reflect the geological nature of the business.

I am excited to see what you can design for me! As this is a StartUp, there could be further design work for the winner in the future!
