Givemoney.to is a website currently under development.

It is a service where anyone can support people/causes that they like. It will implement secure payment platforms such as Google Wallet, PayPal and Amazon Payments (and many more in the future) to enable easy payments across these platforms.

Users will have a username, like they do in Twitter, and users raise money by directing people to visit their page, for example Givemoney.to/redcrossinternational.

The target user base is global, and varies widely, including (but not limited to) :
- Individuals gifting money to each other
- Bloggers, YouTube personalities, artists, open source projects, etc
- local charity organizations
- international charity organizations (Red Cross, World Vision)
- environmental organizations (Greenpeace, WWF)
- political parties

The logo should be simple, clean and contemporary, since it's for a tech company.
It needs to be adaptable into an icon which remains recognizable down to 16x16 (adapt from the wordmark or from the image, or parts of them).
Like any good design, it needs to work without color (when being photocopied, for example). It will be used online with color, however. The website may take design inspiration from the logo.

Experiment with the indigo color, but this is not necessary nor will it guarantee your submission being rewarded.

  Every design that I make indeed has a concept behind it. This one encounter the following:
  1. Two persons, one giving to another - first (left) being in need, the other giving the help.
  2. Dollar sign, implying the money transaction.
  3. Part of the infinity sign (horizontal presentation of dollar sign), presenting a loop related to circulation of money.
  
  And if is love (kamasutra) what we need to help others, let it be ;)

  I'll still consider it. It's not just a copy/paste like #225 and #226 .
  Using the same concept (hands making a dollar sign) is fine.
  The other imagery that I've encouraged people to use :
  1. Money going around (in a circle/loop)
  2. Money helping things grow
  3. The yin-yang/harmony/balance concept
  4. Reciprocity
  All while reflecting the company image (professionality and friendliness).
  I encourage people to reimagine/ keep improving the same concepts. winarto2012's design had too much border, which makes the design lose its shape in 16x16.
  In any case, I'm still considering the rest of the design, and we still have the whole day left in this contest.

  A few tips :
  1. Stop using cliparts
  2. I see that you've taken inspiration from winarto2012's submissions. While it's nice to see you take something good and experiment with it, you should pursue your own ideas to avoid plagiarism.
  3. Your submissions so far has been quite childish (except the ones that look like winarto2012's), you can start copying the *styles* of other high-quality logos, which tend to be cleaner and simpler. But not the actual imagery.

Designers,
Again, thank you for your submissions so far. Some has been fantastic, and some not so great, but we can really see the talent around here!
One thing to note. The logo you design will somehow need to be adapted to an icon.
A few examples :
- the whole pictogram (Picasa), or
- only a part of the pictogram, (Reddit) or
- a part of the wordmark. (Wikipedia, Facebook).
Be creative!
Please keep this requirement in mind and share your thoughts on how your design can be adapted. They need to remain recognizable down to 16x16.

  However, out of all of them, only #204 can be adopted into an icon (think of the hummingbird used by freelancer favicon).
  Also, for future ideas, can you try displaying the monocolor logo and its cutout version in indigo/on indigo background as well?
