I'm working on a web based game project that is called Archipelago, so it's based on collections of islands and the idea is that they are deserted, sun drenched islands in the tropics (the kind that someone might imagine being shipwrecked on).

My brief isn't too precise as I'm still exploring ideas and would like to encourage creativity. I don't really want it too complicated but want the logo to somehow convey the desert island theme (sun, sea, sand, palm trees). It could feature an island or multiple islands due to the name but doesn't need to, as long as it's more than just text - it needs some symbolism.

I'd imagined the text 'Archipelago' to be orange as I thought it would contrast well with the other colours, but that is just a suggestion and in no way a requirement. I'm imagining the background colour of the site to be white so it if would fit well with that it would help but don't let that tie you down too much.

Remember that it's the main logo for a game site so it should be fun and exciting, but still look clean and professional.

I'll need the vector images / project files (.psd, .ai) and .jpg.

  Don't worry, I can see that yours are :) I feel that the text lets them down, it possibly needs to contrast a little bit more with a clearer typeface (doesn't need to be orange).

Please don't submit images from clipart, public image libraries or those taken from other sites. The logo needs to be an original piece of work.
