We need an infographic designed for the Pan Am Games ASAP We have a bunch of facts about the Pan Am Games here in Toronto we would like they played out clean with little icons or images with some or all of each stat.

With the Pan Am Game’s now upon us, and traffic from the city bleeding all the way into Bradford, here are some fun facts about the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto.

Over 6,000 Athletes will participate from 41 different countries and territories.

36 different sports and 400 events are up for competition, spread across 16 of our municipalities.

CBC is the official broadcaster of the Games.
Canada has a total of 377 Golds and 1,696 total medals and ranks 3rd all-time behind the USA and Cuba.

This is the 3rd time the games have been hosted in Canada - the 1967 and 1999 Pan Am Games were both held in Winnipeg.

3,000 metric tonnes of sand will be used for beach volleyball that’s heavier than 20 blue whales.

23,000+ volunteers will help run the games.

37,500 rolls of toilet paper will be required at Games time, enough to reach from Toronto, ON to Saint John, NB

350 km is the span of the Games footprint bwteen Welland and Minden, about the same as between Parliament Hill and the CN Tower.

1951 marked the first Pan Am Games, in Beunos Aires, Argentina.

Golf and women’s baseball will debut at the Pan Am Games in 2015!
