ATTENTION: This contest is for 1 logo and at least 3 baby badge icons. We are looking to HIRE A DESIGNER FOR A LARGE FOLLOW ON PROJECT to build all the 100 badge icons needed for our website. Show us what you can do on these sample badges and logo.

Hello Designers,

We are building a new baby themed website for parents and are looking for designers for a wide range of design skills. We need someone who can be very creative in designing a logo, graphics (icons).

Our website is for parents with new born babies (0 – 18 months). On the site, parents can earn 'badges' which are awarded for parenting and baby developmental milestones.

The Logo: A logo that fits the theme of our site is a must. We would also like it to incorporate the name “Baby Badges” in some way. We don’t really have any designs in mind for the logo, so show us what you can do! You do not need to submit badge designs to have your logo considered, but we recommend competing for both.

The Badges: These are the heart of the website. Just for concept, but please not at all for design, think of girl/boy scout badges. The designs need to work well online and in print. We are looking for simple designs that clearly portray what the badge was earned for. Though we want the general site design to be fun and game-like, the badges should be a bit more serious. We think calm colors with splashes of accent colors would be best, but we look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. The babies portrayed in the badges should not be cartoon-like or caricatures. Although we don’t want actual pictures, they should be simple, gender neutral representations. The badges should have a clearly defined border, but we do not have a preference for any particular shape.

To be considered for the contest, you must submit the following:

1. LOGO for the website
2. Three badge icons out of the following

Baby is One day old
Baby is One week old
Babbling- Baby starts babbling
Heads Up- Baby can hold their own head up
First Tooth- Baby’s first tooth has come in
First Birthday- Baby is celebrating their first birthday
Breastfeeding One Month- Mom has been breastfeeding for one month.
