This is a part of the letter written by a British ex-POW who was in Japan during the WWII.
I am now compiling a report on the POW camp to donate it to the Tenryumura Library where the camp was and the National Diet Library.
Unfortunately I can not find any picture of this "Guise rice device" so far.
So please draw your imaginative illustration of this device.
A figure of a person who operates it is not essential.
Both color and monochrome are fine.
