I am inviting people to a charitable event. This is a flyer to fit onto an A4 sheet cut in half, so I can cut to produce two flyers per A4 printed. It will be printed in black and white/grayscale ink on light brown parchment-style paper. The attached mockup is about the right size, but use a layout and margins that allow this to be photocopied in duplicate on an A4 so I can cut it in half for good results.

See the attached Illustrator file for mockup of rough layout and exact text. For convenience, the text is:

It’s fine to be creative and change the position and treatment of the text, but the top to bottom ordering of the text should remain the same. The relative size/emphasis of each line should remain the same.

The font for the other letters in “Game On Together” should match the look and feel of the GOT letters. Please use a free font I would have—I just have generic Adobe Illustrator. The one in the attached mockup, Castellar, is probably fine, if properly sized and coloured.

The dragon graphic in the corner should be much better than what I provide in the mockup. A black Euro-medieval woodcut style seems best, to match the ink-on-parchment feel. It should look like it’s flying, ready to attack the archer in the other corner. The archer graphic in the corner should be much better than what I provide in the mockup. A black Euro-medieval woodcut style seems best. It should look like it’s aiming for the dragon in the other corner. Winner of contest must submit final as an Adobe Illustrator file with reasonable layering/grouping so I can edit the text for changes to the event details. Your entry should include an Illustrator file. It does not have to be the final file, of course, and the bulk of it can be a low-resolution bitmap-- but I need to confirm you can follow this part of the instruction, so please send at least a rough draft as an Illustrator file.

Thanks for your entries, everyone. There is some solid work here and I appreciate it. Some notes for those who want them. I expect all art assets from my mockup file to be replaced by something far better. I did that mockup in a terrible and fast way just to give an idea. If you don't produce something far better than these assets, I don't think you can win. The assets are: the G, O, and T; the dragon; the archer.

I am assuming that the content does not allow you to submit an Illustrator file. At the least, please state in a comment on your entry that the submission was produced in Illustrator and you are able to send the Illustrator file later.

The contest does not allow me to specify the file type. To win, I will evaluate the jpg/png/gif, but I need to be sure that I will receive an Illustrator file that I can edit later to change the date and other text. Please submit an Illustrator file as well as a bitmap so I can be sure of this.
