Please try to give the logo a look similar to the International Rescue Committee logo (http://www.rescue.org/).
The idea behind this is to have it easily made into an icon or badge look to use in the webapp.
The logo should feel smart, professional and trustworthy, while looking new.
It is to be used as a website portal for an accounting business, which is to be available also on mobile phones via a webapp.
The main purpose of the website is to provide a user friendly way to start claiming an individual tax return online.
It will also provide accounting and tax related news and information.
Please have a look at the current logo (using the one in orange) and please try to improve upon it!

It will be used in the website, the website icon, and badge in a webapp.
A square shaped design would make the most sense in my opinon.
