  Hi, some great efforts there, I'll provide ratings soon (need to consult first). Out of interest, is there anyone that thinks that ratings are a bad idea e.g. if you're my favourite and I rate the design a 5, then others could submit new entries and beat you?

     I don't think that, but you can get the contest sealed and solve the problem. No one will know how many stars the other designer have earned...

     I've noticed in several contests that the initial ratings (after day 1 or 2) rarely go beyond 3 stars. Some 3-star or 2-star designs have gone on to win the contest. The ratings are also used in the case of a guaranteed contest to pay the highest-rated designers for their time if no winner is chosen.
     
     I've also noticed several fake contests so far.
     
     The ratings also help select color/style preferences. Some have particular font preferences. It's too bad that freelancer doesn't use a questionnaire to help designers select a style--especially a font guide. Abstract vs. concrete image? 3-d vs. flat one-color?
     
     Other contests use a first round, second round approach. However, that approach leaves contestants wondering until the end which design you like the best. In reality, you have a preference right away regardless of your ability to articulate your preference.

  hi, this is what i tried to express:
  
  * happiness, satisfaction:
  the butterfly with a green calming color
  * trustworthiness :
  the handshake which is yellow to to say we are happy you trust us.
  * goals, accuracy :
  the circle which have in it's center "the aim or the goal" (butterfly=happiness, satisfaction) the circle is blue for wisdom and loyalty (i wish this is why it was chosen by the creator of this contest for his website).
  
  * mystery :
  red dot (to make the person think why there is a red dot there and push him Wonder what it does mean ???).
  the title is also in warm red to be atractive.
