We are a car racing team in Portugal, racing mainly on speedtracks (trophys), although we never close the door to do also rallyes. The name is 515 Racing Team and we are looking to have a logo based on this number. We prefer to see works around the number 515 alone, not particularly the whole name. Please note that in these competitions in Portugal the car numbers are not free like in Nascar or Moto GP, so this will be mainly a team logo, not a door or team number.
We race mainly with classic vehicles but we don't want a classic image, we want a modern image because we are a modern, up to date and highly competitive team. The objective of this logo is to appear on the cars and on every piece of communication we will do, ranging from websites, facebook, twitter, blogs, etc. Because we are non profit, and don't have a lot of money, we will also have a crowd funding project to help us reach our targets.
Our selected color for the team is a highly saturated and flourescent orange, like Tangerine Tango Pantone (17-1463). This will be the base color for the car(s), with the area of the roof being covered by the logo, we are still not sure if white over orange or orange over white, therefore we will need the logo to work in orange over white, white over orange, but also black over white and white over black. There is no need to be all monochromatic but has to work in these formats. The car will also have sponsorships that will be integrated in the design with some facebook/twitter like tags, so this can give you an idea on the communication format/features we want to pursue.
We are looking to receive for the final work, documents in PSD, AI vectors, and hi res/low res JPG's. Of course totally free for any use.

EDIT 3/15/2013: Seems that the message was not clear in the first place. We are looking for designs around the 515 number alone, without the words "racing team" because we are looking for a generic logo, that can be used outside of the racing environment. We also have preference for some "grunge like" drawings/elements, so maybe that's a good way to go. So far the proposals are all based on standard lettering, not so much drawings. Thanks a lot
