Contest Brief

I’m preparing to launch my seafood restaurant in Mexico, "Don Pulpo" (which translates to “Mr. Octopus”), and the very first thing I need is a distinctive logotype. The personality I’m after is modern and sleek, yet clearly tied to the sea. Visually, the mark should center on an octopus—think clean, purposeful lines rather than cartoonish features—and incorporate subtle wave cues to reinforce the maritime feel.

To keep it fresh and easily adaptable to future merchandise, the primary palette must be blue and white. Please explore tones that evoke crisp ocean water and purity; additional accent shades are welcome if they help the design pop, but blue-and-white must remain dominant.

Down the road I’ll place the logo on cups, glasses, dishes, and apparel, so scalability is crucial. The icon and logotype should hold their clarity whether they appear large on a storefront sign or small on a coffee mug.

Deliverables I expect:
• Full-color and single-color versions in vector format (AI/SVG) and high-resolution PNG.
• Horizontal, stacked, and icon-only variations.
• Basic usage guide outlining colors (hex/PMS) and safe-space rules.

If the concept captures the modern edge, clear octopus imagery, gentle wave motif, and our blue-and-white theme, I’ll consider the work complete and move on to the extended branding with you. Looking forward to seeing your vision for Don Pulpo.
