I'm looking for a true introductory story that would grab attention and show how life is not individual merit but rather based on circumstances and environment. That even the great success could be predicted. That truly there is no reason to blame anyone for their failure nor praise anyone for their success. It is determined. Somewhat similar to the hockey story from Malcolm Gladwell in the book Outliers. My book is about Less Self. That when we zoom out we can see there is no such thing as a self. Everything is part of a system and connected to another system. I need a story to show the irrelevance of praise or blame.

I think the main point is about discounting meritocracy. that life is genes and memes not personal. Circumstantial. So the story or research would be describing how life is not individual but systemic. Based on many factors that influence our life.
