Contest Brief

I need a logo designed for a travel blog. The name of the blog is Destination: Local, and it provides reviews of restaurants, activities, shops in various cities around the world to help people discover the way that locals live. I was the logo to be fun and hip - ideally simple but really makes a statement. My thought was to incorporate imagery from old baggage tags (where they use the three letter codes for cities, but instead the three letters would be "LCL") or stamps from passports. Another idea that you don't have to incorporate necessarily is weathering, as though the logo was actually stamped on a piece of paper or luggage tag. I've attached some files that inspired me. I like a green and blue palette, perhaps with another accent color, but not necessarily.

I'd like the logo to be fresh, cool, informal and personal. The site is about travel advice, but like getting advice from your best friend or someone you trust, not a guidebook.
