  Thanks... Unfortunately, the contest holder didn't like so much... I think I'm giving up those contests because the best entry doesn't necessarily wins... Well, actually I took several photos as reference and composed based on them. Some things like the flags and hair I did more loosely. It's not very hard, just need some painting practice...Good luck with your studies.

This IS a vector art competition, isn't it? I mean the files we display here should be vector jpeg exports no?
or is it a very hi-res jpeg deliverable-contest now? cause I remember Dayna2's work was vector art.

  Well, I guess then the contest specifications are confusing.. as you asked for vector format (AI & EPS) and well those take time. Vector formats are usually preferred for printing graphics on cars and so I was working on a scalable concept art.
  I was really looking forward to entering this competition.. I got late by ten minutes. Any chance you can perhaps extend the competition?

As you keep giving stars to art taken straight from the web you could have just downloaded them yourself and saved yourself from paying for a real artist, Amnesia and Daydreams have given you hours of there time................

I agree with Dayna (nice name ) ;) I did some work but will not spend the SEVERAL hours to do all the details needed- I spent some time but it is not finished- just to give an idea of what I can do. This was my first art piece in 2012... and first posted on this site so any comments would be nice.

  I've never posted something like this before hence why I didn't go down the guaranteed track. I am worried that I won't end up with what I want necessarily. But are you saying with the effort involved, designers want to know that they have a good chance to end up with something for their work?

  I love competition and this style work but like I said it takes a min of six hours per pin-up so some guaranteed ther will be a winner for the time we are committing yes.
  
  Also keep the contest unsealed as I have been seeing many of the designers here download art and tryy to call it there own, keep it open and the artists will let you know it work is stolen from elsewere.
