Everyone develops valuable knowledge through real-life experience, but much of that knowledge is never documented or shared.
We are looking for a highly specific, practical experience that you have personally mastered or successfully navigated and that other people can learn from and apply themselves.
This is not a general writing or advice contest. We want genuine human experience, supported by evidence, with clear and practical steps that another person can use.
1. Eligibility – Please Read Before Entering
To participate, you must have a bank account in at least one of the following countries or regions:
Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong SAR China, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, or United States.
Please state the country or region of your eligible bank account at the beginning of your entry.
2. What Kind of Experience Are We Looking For?
Do NOT submit broad life advice.
Instead, share a specific, practical experience based on something you have personally done, achieved, solved, or learned through real-world life or work.
For example:
How you successfully negotiated a higher salary in a particular profession
How you obtained a particular visa and what you learned during the process
How you organised and ran a successful charity event
How you found your first 20 paying clients as a freelancer
How you successfully changed careers
How you built and managed a particular type of small business
How you prepared for and passed a difficult professional examination
How you developed a study system that produced a measurable result
How you managed a challenging professional project
How you solved a specific technical or operational problem
How you achieved a meaningful result in parenting or education
Another specific professional or life experience that others can practically learn from
These are examples only. Experiences from any profession, industry, skill or area of life are welcome.
3. What to Submit
Your entry should contain the following:
3.1. Why Is Your Experience Valuable and Practical?
Please explain:
What is your experience?
Who would benefit from it?
What problem does it help solve or what result could it help someone achieve?
Why is your experience valuable compared with general information already available online?
How can another person practically apply what you learned?
3.2. Your Actual Experience and Step-by-Step Process
Share enough detail for someone else to genuinely learn from your experience.
Where appropriate, explain:
What was your original situation or problem?
What result were you trying to achieve?
What exactly did you do?
What steps did you follow?
Why did you make those decisions?
What worked?
What did not work?
What mistakes did you make?
What unexpected problems did you encounter?
How did you overcome them?
What did you learn?
What would you do differently if you did it again?
What should another person do step by step if they want to achieve a similar result?
Specific details are much more valuable than general advice.
3.3. Proof of Real Experience – Required
Your entry must include at least one original item that reasonably supports your personal involvement in the experience, such as:
An original screenshot
A personal photo
A document or record related to the experience
A template you personally created
An Excel spreadsheet, checklist, budgeting tool, planning document or other practical resource you used
Another appropriate form of supporting evidence
Please remove or hide passwords, account numbers, addresses, confidential business information, third-party personal information, and other sensitive information before submitting evidence.
The purpose of this requirement is not to ask you to disclose private information. It is to help demonstrate that the submission is based on genuine personal experience.
4. Original Human Experience Required
We are looking for real, personal human experience, not generic AI-generated content.
Entries consisting substantially of generic AI-generated advice, copied material, or content that does not appear to reflect the entrant's genuine experience may be rejected.
We may use AI-detection, originality checking, supporting evidence, the specificity of the submission, and other reasonable methods when reviewing entries. We may also ask an entrant to clarify or substantiate aspects of their experience before awarding a prize.
5. What We Are NOT Looking For
Please do not submit generic articles such as:
"10 Ways to Become Successful"
"5 Tips for Better Time Management"
"How to Become Financially Successful"
These topics are too broad.
Instead, tell us what you personally did, how you did it, what happened, what you learned, and how another person can apply that experience.
Excellent English is not required. The value of your experience is much more important than your writing ability.
6. Judging Criteria
Entries will be assessed primarily on:
Practical Value – Can another person actually use the experience?
Specificity – Does the entrant explain a concrete process, including what they actually did?
Demonstrated Experience – Is there credible supporting material showing that the entrant has genuine experience in the subject?
Usefulness – Could the experience help someone achieve a meaningful goal, solve a problem, avoid mistakes, save time or money, or make a better decision?
Authenticity – Does the submission reflect genuine personal or professional experience rather than generic information?
Transferability – Can other people reasonably apply the lessons or process to their own circumstances?
Uniqueness of Insight – Does the experience provide useful knowledge, lessons, shortcuts, warnings or insights that are difficult to obtain from ordinary online information?
7. Prizes
Winner: US$200
The entrant providing the experience we consider the most valuable, practical and useful will receive the US$200 winner's prize.
Additional Runner-Up Prizes May Be Awarded
We may also award multiple runner-up prizes to additional entrants, depending on the quality and value of the experiences submitted.
Runner-up prizes are not guaranteed. The number and value of any additional prizes will depend on the quality of the eligible entries received.
Therefore, even if your experience is not selected as the overall winner, an exceptional, authentic and highly practical submission may still be considered for an additional prize.
8. One Final Question
Think about something you learned through years of work, study, business or life that you now know how to do well.
If someone were facing the same situation tomorrow, what could you teach them that would save them time, money, mistakes or frustration, or significantly improve their chance of success?
That is the experience we would like you to share.
Your experience may be more valuable to someone else than you realise.
