Hello freelancers!

Thanks for checking out this project. I'm looking for a really simple logo - the main feature will be the typography and a stylised graphic. I would prefer a single-colour logo, but I'm open to tasteful, simple colour schemes.

The business sells nautical chartwork instruments and educational books. The test should read "SailorShop.co.uk". Please feel free to be creative. I'm looking for modern, clean and crisp. I am open to ideas, so if you have some interesting nautical graphics (no anchors, please) then please feel free to suggest them. I've attached two files which might give you some sort of inspiration. Please don't take these as "must-do", just some ideas I had.

The logo, or a variant, must be suitable for use on social media sites. You might be able to do this by making the whole logo square, or by (preferably) producing a distinctive part of the logo that will stand alone. I am happy to have two versions - one for the shopfront and one for social media. You must also be able to provide the logo in a vector format.

UPDATE: Many of the entries so far include sailing boats. For various reasons, I'd prefer to stick to more abstract navigational graphics. I find the compass, anchor, ship's wheel and sailing boat are a bit boring unless they've been stylised in some way. Also, I'm looking for an interesting font, which many entries seem to be lacking.
