Our parent company is in bad need of a clean, modern and sleek look & feel. The company is engaged in several areas of business, mostly the parent of a range of web hosting providers, but also heading up multiple design agencies and digital marketing products.

Most importantly, SANSHIGO is a Japanese/American company. The Kanji Characters in our old logo translate simple to "3,4,5". Our colors are EXTREMELY drab and boring. That said, everyone in the company tends to like soft, neutral or pastel like tones. So, definitely I would NOT recommend that you use any bright or bold colors. It should very much be colorful, but to the lighter side of the spectrum. I really don't have a preference on the colors but I would say that the spectrum of reds. Definitely stay away from earthy colors and greens.

For the font... Once again, we are completely fine doing away with the old Din Font and looking for a complete overhaul on that end too. There's no requirement to keep the Kanji characters, but I would say you would be best served if you consider the logo with and without the characters.

I have attached the style guide from 2006!!! It's now 14 years old, but was really cool at the time. Again, this is a MAJOR OVERHAUL -- Please do not try to use inspiration from the old design, as we really want to focus on being new, contemporary, modern.

Deliverables should be in .AI files and of course we need to be able to obtain the fonts. You do not need to use "free fonts", we are perfectly fine buying a new font family if necessary.

To clarify a bit further... The "S" in our name has no significant value. Our name is really broken up into 3 Japanese syllables. So, please don't consider just making a swoosh off the "S". It's really one of those times that you have to design something unique -- A play on the "S" isn't really designing.

Think also about Social Media: Like the ability to make a "favicon" or to be able to take our "bug" and make a representative icon our of it. Things with a big "S" are not really designing. (Not a fan of the Facebook "F" or the Pinterest "P").

Hey folks... please read the brief. Don't submit several of the same design on a wall. Just put it on a flat white BG. Embossing is terrible as well...
