NocoDB is an Open Source Airtable Alternative. Prerequisites for installation are Docker or Node.js ( > v16.x ). I have docker on my pc but i don't know how to go on. I suppose I can create a remote database on my server (hostgator) and connect the database to the nocodb application created with docker. I'm not sure I understand how it works and I'm not sure what I said is right. In any case my goal is to have nocodb active to test it and learn how to use it.
We need help with a data collection project we are doing for our E-commerce company. For optimizing our search tool we need to gather data manually from our products (around 7800). We need to gather two data points: the material and the color of the article. The process will be done manually, we have created interfaces in AirTable so it will be easier. The process will be basically to click the link to the article on our online shop, check on the description of the article which color the product has and which material is it made from; and fill this information on the interface. In total there are 2000 articles, organised in different categories. We can start working with one category and see how you feel about the process. We calculate we can fill around 3 or 4 articles per minute.
