want to develop an MVP of a battery operated device which will use ultra low power to detect the probable speed of an oncoming vehicle. It was suggested to use MEMS noise/sound sensor to calculate the likely speed. I am open to a better solution. It must be able to run on ultra low power to last for 9-12 months without changing the battery. If it detects a likely speed above a set speed limit, it can send an ultra low power signal to another device.

Does anyone have experience building large RC boats? I need a semi-autonomous boat that can travel between 2 islands at a local marina. I want it to be 6 ft by 4 ft and a catamaran design.
