Optical Engineering is the study of using optical systems to capture, manipulate and detect certain physical properties, usually from images / videos. The Design Engineer working within this field will design and build optical systems with the purpose of measuring particular signatures from potential clients. These engineers will apply their knowledge of optics to develop real world solutions that can fully utilize microscope imaging technologies, provide visual feedback in various industries (nuclear, security, biomedical and environmental) and combine technology-driven physics with specialized imaging techniques to deliver ultra-precise technical results.

Từ 624 nhận xét, các khách hàng đã đánh giá Design Engineers 4.9 trên 5 sao.I manufacture professional dental loupes and now need a specialist to engineer the next-generation optical system for our lineup. The core brief is straightforward: produce a 3×–5× magnifier that delivers a crisp, wide field and can be dialed through several power steps for adjustable magnification. What I need from you • A full lens prescription and layout—prismatic or Keplerian, whichever meets the performance targets—modelled in Zemax, Code V, or an equivalent ray-tracing package. • Recommendations on glass types, coatings and lightweight housings so the finished loupe remains comfortable for all-day wear. An anti-reflective, easy-clean coating is strongly preferred. • Tolerance, MTF and illumination analyses that prove the design hold...
I’m rebuilding the optics in my light-measurement device. Right now the module relies on two lenses, a circular diffuser plate, and an aperture to guide visible light from a 30 mm entrance circle down to the 5 mm active area of the detector. It works, but the cost of the double-lens stack is no longer acceptable. Your mission is to engineer a new light path that achieves the same 30 mm-to-5 mm concentration using just one readily available, low-cost catalogue lens. Please analyse the ray geometry, calculate transmission and spot size, and confirm that we stay within the detector’s field of view while avoiding vignetting or excessive aberrations. If a minimal diffuser or baffle is still required, specify it, but the core goal is a single-element solution. I will need: • ...
