I’m developing a fresh, modern Christmas range that celebrates Australia’s summer spirit and need a series of playful illustrations to bring it to life. The tone is decidedly whimsical—picture a koala catching a wave in a Santa hat, kangaroos decorating a beachside gum tree, wombats carting stacks of gifts, and other native friends joining the fun. The artwork must feel light-hearted yet polished so it appeals both to locals and to the tourists hunting for the perfect Aussie souvenir. Your illustrations will be reproduced on placemats, drink coasters, greeting cards, hanging ornaments, tea towels and table runners, so versatility is key. Each scene should stand alone while also being easy to crop, tile or combine into repeat patterns. Bright, contemporary colour palettes, clean lines and a hint of that laid-back coastal vibe will help the designs translate across these varied formats. Deliverables • 6–8 original full-colour illustrations featuring koalas, kangaroos and wombats, with the option to weave in other native animals as supporting characters • At least two seamless pattern or background variations suitable for fabric items • Print-ready CMYK files (300 dpi PNG/JPEG) plus layered source files in Illustrator, Photoshop or Procreate • Simple style sheet outlining colours and any fonts used for holiday greetings Please ensure safe zones, bleed and trim marks are included so my manufacturer can drop the art straight into production.
