I’m building a faithful Nintendo NES demake of Blasphemous and need help finishing two key art assets while respecting every hardware quirk of the console. What I need you to do • Animate the Penitent in seven states: standing, walking, ducking, jumping, climbing, getting hit, and attacking. • Draw the background tile set for the Warden of the Silent Horror (static for now). Technical boundaries – NES authenticity is my top priority. – Each sprite must stick to exactly 4 colours, transparency included, per 8×8 tile. – Please follow the look and mood of the original Blasphemous game, distilled into classic NES form. Deliverables 1. Clean PNG sprite sheets for every animation, separated by frame. 2. A PNG tile sheet for the Warden background. 3. A text or image reference of the exact palettes used for each sheet. 4. Files tested to load correctly in NESFab (colour-compatible with its assembler). Hand-off is complete when I can drop the sheets into my NESFab project and see them render without colour conflicts. If you’ve shipped art for other NES-style games, feel free to share; otherwise a quick mock-up showing you understand the palette limit will move things forward fast.

Do you have any existing Blasphemous artwork or character sheets I can reference to nail the aesthetic, or should I work from the original game directly? Please message me when you are online so we can clarify the requirements and move ahead.

This is exactly the kind of work I handle well. Animating seven Penitent states while strictly adhering to the NES’s 4-colour, 8x8 tile limit is a challenge many underestimate. The static background tile set also demands careful attention to palette consistency without losing the original game's dark tone. I’ll ensure every sprite and tile sheet is clean, palette-accurate, and ready to drop into NESFab without issues. Clear file organization and testing will keep hand-off seamless. Reach out for a free consultation, happy to share a clear next step with no expectations. Stef

As a seasoned game designer with nearly a decade of experience, I understand the critical importance of staying true to the original essence of a game. As you search for an expert in NES demake pixel art animations, I offer more than just my love for nostalgia; I assure you that every sprite and tile set I create will reflect the exact look and mood of the original Blasphemous game while embracing the limitations of NES hardware. My past work in web and mobile app development also contributes to my versatility in understanding different platforms – including classic consoles like NES. Thus, rest assured, sacred colors and frame limits won't be mere restrictions for me, but essential aspects that showcase my creativity. To paint a complete picture of my capabilities, the final spritesheets and tileset will be PNGs adhering to all outlined project specifications. Additionally, I'll complement the files with detailed palettes that demonstrate their color compatibility with your assembler. Proven by my past deliveries, the hand-off will not simply be completion; it'll be your green-light to experiment with your NESFab project extensively. I understand exactly what’s needed here; faithful NES-era sprite work for a Blasphemous demake where every frame has to respect strict 4-colour per 8×8 tile limits while still preserving the game’s dark, heavy atmosphere. I’ll build the Penitent animation set across all seven states with tight palette control and consistent pixel grouping so everything stays fully NESFab-compatible with no colour conflicts. The goal is to make the motion readable and expressive within the hardware limits, while still keeping that original Blasphemous tone intact. For the Warden background, I’ll design it as clean, modular tiles that can be assembled seamlessly in-engine, prioritising NES constraints first so it renders correctly immediately without adjustments. You’ll receive polished PNG sprite sheets, the full background tile set, and a clear palette reference so you can drop everything straight into your project and see it working as intended. Before I start, what resolution and tile mapping setup are you using in NESFab so I can align everything perfectly from the first pass? Best regards, Victory..
