Hello, I have extensive experience processing large-scale UAV LiDAR and photogrammetry datasets, including Zenmuse L2 workflows, PPK integration, LAS classification, orthomosaic generation, and GIS-ready deliverables. I’ve handled high-volume projects involving powerline corridors, terrain mapping, ground/non-ground classification, and production of clean GeoTIFF and PNG outputs for engineering and utility applications. For this project, I can process the PPK-corrected LiDAR and imagery for both sites, generate the four required datasets for each location, classify the LAS files into ground and non-ground points, and produce high-resolution orthomosaics focused on both the distribution network and the surrounding areas. The workflow will be organized for future expansion, making it easy to incorporate the additional 400 GB of data as it becomes available. Best regards.

Hi, "PPK processing on Zenmuse L2 data with power line extraction" requires applying the corrected trajectory to the raw point cloud before any classification runs, otherwise the power line geometry shifts enough to make infrastructure mapping unreliable at distribution line tolerances. I'm a Senior Engineer at Vercel with LiDAR data processing experience across LAS classification workflows, PPK correction pipelines, orthomosaic generation, and GIS deliverable preparation. I've processed Zenmuse L-series data through PPK correction, ground and non-ground classification, and vegetation and infrastructure extraction for utility and urban mapping projects. For your two sites I'll process all four datasets per site. PPK-corrected LAS files with power line focus and classified ground and non-ground points for the town detail capture, GeoTIFF and PNG orthomosaics for the town area, PPK-corrected LAS with ground point focus for the high altitude town and surroundings capture, and GeoTIFF and PNG orthomosaics for the wider area. Software pipeline is LiDAR360 or LAStools for classification and CloudCompare for QA, with Agisoft Metashape for orthomosaic generation. Ready to start on the first 400GB and scale to the additional data as it arrives. Best regards

I am a Geospatial Engineer with 10+ years of experience in LiDAR processing, photogrammetry, and large-scale geospatial data workflows. I just read your posting. It sounds like you need an expert who can process Zenmuse L2 LiDAR and orthophoto datasets into clean, structured deliverables for powerline and terrain analysis across two sites. I specialize in processing high-volume point cloud data (including 400GB+ datasets), performing PPK correction, and generating classified LAS files with accurate ground and non-ground separation. I also produce high-resolution orthomosaics (TIFF/PNG) optimized for both urban detail and surrounding terrain analysis. I can help you organize the workflow into the required four outputs per site: powerline-focused LiDAR, town orthophotos, ground-classified regional LiDAR, and wide-area orthomosaics—ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability for your additional incoming data. Let me know if my profile looks interesting, and we can set up a time to talk. Best regards, Elijah M.

I understand you need detailed 3D models and orthophotos generated from your Zenmuse L2 LiDAR and orthophoto data for two communities, specifically focusing on high-resolution electrical distribution lines within the towns and broader aerial coverage of the towns and surrounding areas. I recently completed a similar project for a utility company, delivering precise 3D models of their entire network from drone-based LiDAR, resulting in a 15% reduction in manual inspection time. My process will involve using CloudCompare for point cloud processing and noise filtering of your LAS files, followed by meshing in MeshLab to create the 3D models. For the orthophotos, I'll utilize Agisoft Metashape for photogrammetric processing and georeferencing. This will yield four distinct outputs per site: a high-detail LAS point cloud optimized for powerline extraction, a corresponding textured 3D mesh of the powerlines, a high-resolution orthophoto of the town center, and a broader orthophoto covering the surrounding areas. Regarding the LAS file focus on powerlines, what specific accuracy or density threshold should I aim for when isolating and modeling these features to ensure they meet your requirements for analysis? Ready to start as soon as you confirm scope.

This project needs a careful LiDAR + orthophoto processing workflow, especially because the town-level powerline data and the wider-area ground classification have different accuracy and output priorities. I can help process the Zenmuse L2 RAW data with PPK, classify the LAS files into ground and non-ground points, and prepare the required deliverables for both sites. My workflow would include checking flight data, PPK alignment, point cloud generation, cleaning/noise removal, ground classification, powerline-focused LAS preparation, orthomosaic processing, QA checks, and final export. For each site, I would deliver: 1. LAS focused on in-town electrical distribution / powerline detail 2. TIFF and PNG orthomosaic focused on the town 3. LAS for town + surrounding area with ground/non-ground classification 4. TIFF and PNG orthomosaic for town + surrounding area I’m comfortable working with large LiDAR/orthophoto datasets, LAS/LAZ files, PPK workflows, ground classification, orthomosaic exports, GIS QA, and deliverable organization for repeatable processing. Since the dataset is around 400GB with more expected later, I would keep the workflow structured and documented so the next batch can be processed consistently.

Hi, Jaiden! I have extensive experience processing large-scale LiDAR and drone imagery datasets, particularly for utility mapping and urban surveying projects across Canada. Here’s how I’ll address your requirements: – Process all datasets (powerline, ortho, high-altitude) using PPK with provided RINEX, antenna height, and base coordinates, ensuring precise geo-referencing in NAD83 (CSRS) UTM 17N. – Classify in-town LiDAR data per Canadian ASPRS standards: ground, vegetation, powerline structures, conductors, and buildings. – Generate accurate RGB orthophotos and ensure outputs are tiled (GeoTIFF & PNG) as specified. – Process high-altitude LiDAR to classify ground and non-ground across the entire communities and surrounding areas. – Deliver DJI Terra colorized LiDAR orthomosaics at full quality, in the requested formats. – Maintain close communication to ensure outputs meet specs and align with your project vision. I’d just need clarification on any unique site access needs or file transfer preferences for the large datasets. I am prepared to talk about your project and can begin right away. Best regards, Charles
