Paid on delivery
I need an experienced mechanical engineer to take full ownership of the structural frame that hangs beneath our T-Drones MX1500 and carries up to three detachable cargo containers. Your task is to create a low-mass, high-stiffness solution that locks each pod securely for flight, allows quick ground handling, and satisfies the aviation safety factors we will supply at project kick-off. Scope and workflow • Work with my internal aerodynamics and avionics teams to agree on materials—aluminium, carbon-fibre composites, titanium or a hybrid approach are all on the table—then justify your final selection through stress, vibration and fatigue analysis. • Produce complete CAD (SolidWorks or Siemens NX preferred), FEA reports and a tolerance-controlled drawing set that can be issued directly to fabricators. • Deliver BOM, manufacturing notes, and an outline test plan so we can move straight into prototype build. Project logistics The engagement runs about eight weeks and will be broken into fixed-price milestones; all payments are in Euros. I would rather collaborate with someone based in the UK, but any EU location works if you can provide valid right-to-work documents and align to CET/BST hours for meetings. Acceptance criteria 1. Signed-off structural FEA showing compliance with the safety factors provided. 2. Weight target met (we will freeze this at concept review). 3. Detail drawings, BOM and STEP files released to our PDM vault, ready for procurement. If you have a track record designing lightweight aerospace structures and can start soon, let’s talk.
