A small-apartment plan that feeds straight into interior design has to be dimensionally exact: wall thicknesses, door swings and window positions traced precisely as marked. I'd work in three steps: 1) set up layers and trace the walls from your measurements, 2) place doors and windows and check every dimension against your sketch, 3) save as an editable DWG and send it over.
