I'm looking for a skilled mold maker to create a tennis racquet handle mold. *Not whole tennis racquet just handle. Tennis racquets are graphite but have the handle molded in urethane foam over the graphite core* Requirements: - Material: Plastic (type to be determined) - Design: Custom design pattern Ideal Skills and Experience: - Experience with plastic molding - Knowledge of mold-making techniques - Ability to create custom designs I have the exact dimensions and specs required for the handle. The design would only have to be for 1/2 of the handle as it would be printed twice to make the whole. In the old days we used to make analog molds from a plug but people have been successful using 3d printing, I just don't have the skills. There are several other minor features which can be discussed later. I've attached a couple photos of a traditional analog handle mold for reference. Overall size of mold would be approx 10"x4"x3" (two pieces) so each piece would be roughly 1.5" thick. I'm unsure the best material for the mold but it must be strong (handle is molded urethane foam under pressure) and somewhat heat resistant (the urethane foam is in 2 parts which when mixed create some heat maybe 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lets follow a plan like this. 1) I review your dims, photos, and minor features; confirm parting line and shrink allowances. 2) I model the half‑handle in CAD, add pattern, gates/vents, keys, and clamp bosses for 1.5" thick halves. 3) I 3D print a pilot half, run a quick heat/fill test, and tweak venting where needed. 4) I deliver the final matched halves, STEP/STL, assembly drawing, and a short use/maintenance guide with release agent tips.
