I have an existing STL for a small, DIY-3D-printed peristaltic pump housing that I will be printing in PETG. The outside of the part already fits perfectly with the rest of my build, so the outer wall geometry must stay exactly as it is. Where I need your help is on the inside: I have to grow the internal wall clearance by roughly 5-15? mm (we’ll test each to find the sweet spot). The original CAD package is unknown, so you will be working directly from the STL and returning revised STL files (a STEP or Fusion-friendly format as an extra would be great, but the STL is mandatory). We will move in quick, iterative passes—once I print and test each version, I’ll send feedback and you’ll nudge the model until the rotor turns freely but without excess slack. I can’t predict the exact number of revisions, so I need someone comfortable with back-and-forth collaboration over a couple of days. Deliverables • Three initial STL variants with +5 mm, +10 mm and +15 mm internal clearance • Subsequent tweaked STL(s) until the pump operates smoothly • Final “production” STL, clean, manifold and ready for PETG slicing Acceptance criteria • Outer dimensions and mounting points remain unchanged to the micron • Inner wall expansion is uniform, smooth and printable without supports greater than those already required • File passes basic mesh checks (no non-manifold edges, flipped normals, etc.) in Cura/PrusaSlicer If you’re fluent in mesh editing tools such as Meshmixer, Blender, or Fusion 360’s direct-modeling workspace and enjoy iterative problem-solving, I’d love to work together and get this pump spinning.

Hi, I specialize in projects like yours. Fluent in an array of mesh editing tools such as Meshmixer, Blender, and Fusion 360, I'm comfortable working directly with STL files, making me the perfect fit for your project. I understand the importance of precise measurements and quick iterations for creating a functional final product. My experience in creating production-ready models will ensure that the outer dimensions and mounting points remain unchanged down to the micron level while effectively expanding the inner wall clearance. Moreover I do not stop until my clients are fully satisfied: I am not only ready for back-and-forth collaborations but actually enjoy them. Satisfying my clients’ unique needs is my priority; therefore, I'll provide you with three initial STL variants each at +5 mm, +10 mm and +15 mm internal clearance respectively before fine-tuning the design based on your feedback until we achieve the desired pump operation. My work is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and professionalism. Let's team up to transform your ideas into successful solutions.

Hello, I can modify your STL pump housing so the outer geometry and mounting points stay exactly unchanged while the internal clearance is expanded uniformly for smoother rotor movement. I’ll work directly on the mesh, generate the three initial variants (+5 mm, +10 mm, +15 mm), and then refine the model based on your test prints until the fit is right and the STL stays clean, manifold, and slicer-ready. Please have a look at our Freelancer portfolio through the links given below. https://www.freelancer.com/u/CreativeDesign50 If helpful, I can also provide a STEP or Fusion-friendly file along with the final STL. Best regards, Kirandeep K.

Hi, there I have read your project details carefully titled as **"Modify STL Inner Dimensions."** I have strong experience in **STL editing, mesh reconstruction, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 and 3D-printing-ready CAD**. I can modify the internal geometry while keeping the **outer dimensions, mounting points and external surfaces completely unchanged**. I can prepare the initial **+5 mm, +10 mm and +15 mm internal-clearance STL variants** and then make iterative adjustments based on your test results. I will ensure the internal surfaces remain smooth, uniform and suitable for PETG printing without introducing unnecessary support requirements. I can also check the final meshes for **manifold geometry, flipped normals and other common STL errors** before delivery. If required, I can additionally provide a STEP or Fusion-friendly version for easier future editing. Please send me the existing STL and I can review the geometry and start with the three initial variants. Thanks. Regards.

I will work directly from the STL, accurately expand the internal wall clearance, and provide three initial variants: +5 mm, +10 mm, and +15 mm. Each file will be checked for smooth geometry, manifold integrity, correct normals, and PETG printability. After your print tests, I’m comfortable working through quick iterative revisions over the following days until the rotor operates freely with the correct clearance and minimal slack. Deliverables: Initial +5 mm, +10 mm, and +15 mm internal-clearance STL variants Revised STL files based on your testing feedback Final production-ready, clean and manifold STL Optional editable/convertible CAD format where practical from the original mesh I’m experienced with Fusion 360, Blender, Meshmixer, and SolidWorks, and can handle mesh-to-CAD editing and iterative 3D-print refinement efficiently.

Greetings I can modify your STL for the peristaltic pump housing, ensuring the outer dimensions remain unchanged while adjusting the internal wall clearance as needed. I understand your goal is to achieve a smooth, functional internal geometry through iterative testing and feedback. I will provide three initial STL variants with the specified clearances, and we'll collaborate closely until the pump operates optimally. I bring over 5 years of experience in mesh editing and 3D modeling, specializing in creating precise, functional designs tailored to specific requirements. I’d love to chat about your project and suggest a follow-up discussion to outline the next steps. Regards, Nabeel Ismail

Hi, I can modify your existing STL while keeping the outer geometry completely unchanged. I have experience with SolidWorks, STL editing, 3D CAD modeling, and preparing models for 3D printing. I can carefully increase the internal wall clearance by the required 5–15 mm and provide iterative versions for your print-and-test process. I’m comfortable working directly from STL files and making precise adjustments based on your feedback. I can start immediately and will ensure the final STL is clean, accurate, and ready for PETG printing. Best regards, Himanshu Verma

Hi, Main risk is changing inner geometry without introducing non-manifold edges or altering mounting and outer surfaces that must remain unchanged to the micron. Working from an STL means I will have to remesh, apply a controlled inward offset on interior surfaces only, and then retopo to preserve smooth, printable expansion while keeping outer walls exact. I have repeatedly modified vendor STLs for fit adjustments on small housings and housings for stepper-driven mechanisms, doing final verification in Cura and PrusaSlicer. I use Blender and Meshmixer for selective boolean inflations and Fusion 360 direct-modeling for producing clean CAD-friendly exports when requested. Past tasks included creating multi-clearance variants and delivering final manifold STLs that pass slicer mesh checks and print clean in PETG. I will produce three initial STLs: +5 mm, +10 mm, and +15 mm internal clearance, then iterate based on your fit/operation feedback. First step is to isolate interior shells and perform constrained offset operations followed by smoothing and manual cleanup where offsets produce tight curvature. I will validate normals, non-manifold edges, and wall thickness constraints before sending files. - Do you want the internal expansion uniform in all directions or focused around specific chambers or tubing paths? - Do you need a STEP or Fusion-friendly file for each variant or only for the final production STL? Let me know if a short call would help move things forward. Christopher
