I’m ready to add a new fixed, full-glass window to our living room so we can keep an eye on the swimmers while relaxing inside. The main objective is crystal-clear sightlines to the pool—both when I’m standing in the kitchen half a level below and when we’re seated on the sofas—without giving neighbours a peek into our space. We have uploaded window styles we like. The final views must include the face that the external wall will receive (after the window is created), an 180mm external insulation layer. What I need from you: • Precise sizing, shape and placement for a horizontal rectangular opening that starts at living room floor level and stays under 1 m in height (otherwise we cannot view the pool which starts around 1M50 from the exterior side of the living room) • Full set of dimensioned plans and sections ready for submission to our local authority, in DWG and PDF • Interior and exterior renderings (or quick SketchUp/3D views) so we can confirm aesthetics and sightlines before we commit • Construction details (required beam dimensions for that window) that account for the insulation layer, waterproofing, structural lintel and any thermal-bridge breaks Acceptance criteria 1. From a marked point in the kitchen (standing) and 3 sofa positions (seated), the swimmer’s lane is fully visible. 2. Neighbouring house have no direct view of the living-room seating area. 3. the outside rendering if harmonious and go with the existing facade 4. the final rendering include the 180mm added insulation If you have a knack for marrying aesthetics with practical build details—and can turn around clear visuals fast—let’s talk. we have included sketches, plans, window ideas we have (archicad and autocad too).
