one thing decides whether these renders help you decide or just look nice: whether the model is dimensionally honest. a photorealistic image built loosely is a mood board with shadows, and you cannot hand it to a contractor. so i build to your measurements first and light it second. you get the editable model, and your contractor can measure inside it rather than trusting a picture. on traditional specifically, the detail that goes wrong most often is moulding proportion. cornice and skirting profiles get picked from a catalogue photograph and end up sized for a taller room than the one they are going into. at a normal apartment ceiling height an oversized cornice eats the wall and the room reads heavy instead of classic. i size the profiles to your actual ceiling height and show you the section drawing, not only the render. day and night lighting is worth doing properly for a reason beyond presentation: warm traditional palettes that look rich under lamps can go muddy in daylight, and you only catch that if both come from the same model. to start i need a floor plan or measured dimensions with ceiling heights, window positions and which way the rooms face, plus photos of each space as it stands. first milestone one room, rendered day and night, with the model. you judge accuracy and style on a space you know well before i build the rest of the apartment.
