Picture search portal

I need a search portal software which has to search really different photograllery softwares on the web. The software has to have a search interface with input for one string up to three strings with combining words like "and" and "or" for including or excluding some words in the search. From the photogallery software we will get a thumbnail output, which has to be displayed at the portal, categorised by database. When a user clicks on a thumbnail, he should be directed to the detailpage of the remote website. The problem is, that I do not know how the databases manage their search capabilities.
