Please read the below description before bidding!
This relatively simple job is to design and build a small academic portfolio website based on a provided example. This can be achieved by modifying the example according to the below description. Please provide the final version (HTML including dependencies, such as CSS, JQuery, etc.) and I will take care of the content. If you use the example please delete all code/files which is/are not required for this to function properly.
I need a simple and visually appealing grey shaded theme. Menu should be a bar in white background across the top which is always there, regardless of site scrolling. Menu bar will be centered in the page, and have have: Left aligned: My name [provided once job is awarded] (in specified font style), right aligned: horizontal menu (items below). When scrolling down, the menu bar background should change colour (e.g., to grey).
The page will consist of sections comprising of images [provided once job is awarded] that take up the screen width with sections of content in between. When scrolling, the images [provided] should stay fixed in the background and automatically change to a new one when the centre of a vertical content block passes the vertical centre of the screen while scrolling (cross-fade transition, because this process may be seen depending on the content block height). On top of each image there could be a short white text in large font which should also scroll with the content. The content blocks have a white background and contain titles/text and/or other information.
Menu items: “About” (sub-menu: “About me”, “Experience”, “Education”), “Research” (sub: “Awards”, “Projects”, “Field”, “Laboratory”), “Teaching” (sub: “Undergraduate”, “Postgraduate”, “Mentoring”), “Publications” (simple code insert linking to [url removed, login to view] - provided), “Engagement”, “More” (sub: “Collaborators”, “Gallery”, “Fun”, “Code”), “Contact”. The submenu should be a vertical list to appear when menu item is hovered over/clicked. Content for submenu items will be placed on the same page as that for the menu item (content sections between pictures). When submenu item is clicked, page should fast-scroll to the respective section (internal anchor).
This should work for mobile screens too. However, the menu needs to be changed to function properly.
