To complete the task you will have to build or refine a 3-D finite-element model of the blade, apply realistic aerodynamic and gravitational load spectra, locate the most critical stress hot-spots, and then calculate crack-growth life using appropriate fracture parameters (e.g., Paris law in terms of G or ΔK, threshold, R-ratio effects). Where material data are unavailable, please justify any literature values or testing assumptions you adopt. I expect the model to capture ply orientations, resin properties and adhesive joints so the unique behaviour of the carbon-fiber laminate is reflected accurately.
