Job Description for Chemical Engineer (R&D) Position: R&D Chemical Engineer (Specialization in Organic Synthesis) Key Responsibilities: • Process Development: Design and optimize the synthetic routes for Hydroxy(thio)pyrone. • R&D Execution: Conduct laboratory experiments to improve yield and reduce byproduct formation. • Scaling Up: Translate lab-scale processes into pilot-scale production while maintaining safety and quality standards. • Analytics: Work with analytical tools (like HPLC, NMR, or GC) to verify the chemical structure and purity. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Organic Chemistry. • Proven experience in an R&D Department (preferably in fine chemicals or APIs). • Deep understanding of heterocyclic chemistry and sulfur-based compounds (for the 'thio' part).
