Job Description:
Our family investment club is currently in the conceptual phase, and we have limited knowledge of accounting practices, systems, and software. As such, we are seeking a professional accountant to provide mentorship and assistance in the following tasks:
Setting up our accounting system:
We require assistance with setting up our accounting system, including configuring the chart of accounts, integrating data from our brokerage account, and ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately.
Monthly financial reporting:
We need monthly financial reports for our investment club, including a profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and a customized investment performance report that tracks each member's contributions, investment costs, portfolio value, and return on investment.
Year-end tax reporting:
As an investment club, we need to prepare year-end tax reporting for our members. We require assistance in generating the necessary reports and forms for each member based on their share of the club's income, expenses, and investment performance.
Ongoing support and advice:
We would appreciate ongoing support and advice on accounting best practices, tax planning, and any other financial matters relevant to our investment club.
