We have been running SAP since 2012, and are rapidly increasing the amount of products we build internally . We classify these parts as FERT items in SAP, and assign "S" costs to them, however we would like a more dynamic costing system for these parts that doesn't rely on manual updates.

I have a client who was facing a similar issue to yours as they were using SAP business one and relied on it to calculate their costs and margins. We tried resorting to add ons to achieve our needed results without success( needed an on demand production and a dynamic costing system). All solutions needed alot of data entry and user interaction and that wasn't an option given the constraints.
So we skipped SAP all together and created an advanced spreadsheets system customized exactly as we needed. ( although we pull any information needed from SAP SQL server ) . Also we created some excel templates that can be imported into the system when needed (via basic copy paste)
