I'd like to hire you for a small new feature to that vehicle extension I told you about.
Hopefully you still have that site installed (when you made the noindex, follow plugin).
Just to remind you how it works; the visitor can choose a number of search criteria (Make, Module, Min/Max price etc.). When they click Search it shows cars (using the ‘mod_je_vehiclelist’ module) based on the search choice. Various parameters are used such as ‘?maker=2’
The visitor can also view details of a particular car by clicking on a button in the vehicle list module which then shows a page (using the ‘mod_je_vehicle’ modile) for that 1 vehicle. But it also has Previous and Next buttons that follows the same criteria range. EG. If you had searched for Toyotas, once you’re looking at a particular Toyota then the Prev/Next button will only show Toyotas.
All I need is to add 2 fields to the large search box (used only on the Home page right now) and the same to the small search box (used on most other pages); minimum perweek and maximum perweek and of course for the ‘mod_je_vehiclelist’ and ‘mod_je_vehicle’ modules to use the min and mac perweek parameters.
The database already has a Perweek field and vehicle list and detail modules already shows it. Each car has a Perweek value, showing the visitor how much they will pay per week if they choose finance.
So these 2 new fields in the search boxes will allow the visitor to type in a minimum and maximum amount that they can afford to pay and the vehicle list module will show cars that fit into that range (together with other search criteria such as make, model etc).
I've attached a JPG showing the concept of what I'd like the search box changed to (it shows the large search box but I'd like the same added to the small).
Obviously the text 'You can also type in the minimum...' should be actual text on the search form and not part of the background graphic.
And please move the fields above the line slightly up a bit so that the content below the line doesn't look quite so squashed.
I've also attached the latest 4 modules which are used for the vehicle system (because I've changed some of the files since I sent you the site backup). Please use these for your development.
