If the PDF embeds a font you do not have installed, Word silently substitutes it and every line length changes. So I check which fonts the file actually uses before starting and tell you which ones are on your side and which need a substitute chosen deliberately, rather than letting Word pick one for you. Before you commit: send the PDF and I return the first two pages finished, free, so you can edit a paragraph yourself and watch whether the layout holds.
