The constraint that decides these is the one in your brief that is easy to skim past: understandable from a few feet away, while someone is waiting or browsing. That rules out most of what infographic usually means. A client glancing up from their phone gives it two or three seconds and reads it at four or five feet — so the whole piece has to work at a distance where paragraph text is invisible. Which means numbered steps, few of them, each one a short phrase rather than a sentence, and an illustration per step that carries the meaning on its own. Four or five steps is the practical maximum. If a treatment genuinely has nine, the piece should show five stages with the detail folded inside them, because a client who counts nine steps reads it as complicated rather than thorough — and these pieces exist to make people feel comfortable, not informed. The other thing worth deciding early: whether these are print for the wall or screen for a display. Wall means real print sizing, bleed and a resolution the printer can use. Screen means a different aspect ratio and lets you animate a step. Both are fine; designing for one and using the other is where these end up looking wrong.
