For the kids line, durable fabric texture needs to stay sharp even after blending, which I handle by keeping the retouch light and purposeful. For the AI extension work, I use Midjourney for environment ideation and Stable Diffusion with ControlNet in-painting to build the actual composite backdrop, keeping the subject mask clean throughout. Dodge and burn in Photoshop is always done on separate layers so nothing is destructive and the PSD stays easy to navigate for future edits.
