I’m setting up a short, hands-on course that walks a small group through foundational video-editing skills inside Adobe Premiere Pro. The trainees are brand-new to the software, so the focus is firmly on basic editing and smooth transitions rather than colour work or advanced motion graphics. Here’s what I’d like the programme to cover: importing footage, organising a project, trimming clips on the timeline, applying simple cuts and dissolves, adding audio, basic titling, and exporting to common formats. I’d like each concept demonstrated in real time, followed by a quick exercise so participants can put it into practice immediately. Deliverables • A concise session plan (2–3 half-day classes or equivalent) • Sample project files we can keep practising with • Step-by-step handouts or slides for each lesson • Screen-recorded recap videos so attendees can review afterwards At the end of the training every participant should comfortably assemble a short, polished video with clean transitions and correct export settings in Premiere Pro.
