We are seeking proposals from qualified UAV professionals for the customization a DJI Agras T100 via physical and/or firmware modification. Background: Our client had facilitated a 14 CFR 89 exemption from Remote ID for the purpose of aeronautical research. Physical access to the T100 is available in Long Island, New York if you require physical access to complete the modifications. Deliverables: You are to propose and implement modifications that allow the T100 to operate without broadcasting Remote Identification (“RID”) per the facilitated regulatory exemption. The solution in your proposal can either make the RID toggliable or permanently disabled via hardware and/or firmware modification. We are interested in an additional minor modification or two, which we will likely provide additional compensation for, but this is the central task. These modifications should be implemented while maintaining safety and without compromising the integrity of the flight system. Qualifications: Knowledge of DJI’s Agras line and/or experience performing these modifications are preferred but not required. Located within the USA, and near the New York City area specifically, is preferred but not required. A professional level understanding of UAVs and their systems is required. Compensation: Depending on proposal, deliverables, and qualifications. Approximately $2,000 to $4,000. Deadlines: We are planning to select a proposal by approximately May 15th and have the work completed by May 31st. We look forward to reviewing your proposals. Thank you!

Hi, With a strong background in UAV systems, embedded firmware, and electromechanical design, I have hands-on experience analyzing and modifying complex drone architectures while maintaining flight safety and system integrity. My approach focuses on controlled, verifiable modifications that do not interfere with critical avionics or fail-safe mechanisms. Proposed Approach Firmware Approach: Reverse analysis of the communication stack to identify RID broadcast mechanisms, followed by implementation of a controlled toggle or suppression routine while preserving system stability. Hardware Approach (if required): Isolation or interruption of RID-related transmission pathways (e.g., communication modules or buses) with minimal impact on other subsystems. Validation & Safety: Functional testing to confirm that flight performance, telemetry, and safety features remain unaffected. Documentation of all modifications will be provided. Deliverables Fully implemented RID-disable solution Test and validation report Technical documentation for reproducibility Optional support for additional minor modifications Logistics To ensure the most efficient execution, I would appreciate clarification on: Whether prior firmware access or SDK-level access is available Any constraints on permanent vs. toggleable RID modification Availability of diagnostic logs or prior reverse-engineering data Scope of additional modifications under consideration Best regards,

Hi Letsstart99, Last week I finished a very similar DJI Agras job under a Part 89 research exemption, so I’m confident I can handle this well. My Questions. - Can you share the signed RID exemption and confirm if you want RID toggleable or permanently off? - Is a firmware-only fix required, or do you approve clean, non‑destructive hardware changes if safer? My Suggestions. - Make it reversible: I will back up all configs and give you a one-step restore package. - Add an audit log and a tamper seal to document compliance and service work. My Execution Plan. - Confirm scope, flight needs, and safety constraints; record current firmware and settings. - Design the safest approach that leaves flight control and sensors untouched; review with you. - Create full backups; implement the change (firmware profile and/or clean hardware interlock); document. - Bench test: power cycles, link, GNSS, failsafes; verify RID state per mode; basic EMI check. - Flight test at your Long Island site within the exemption; capture logs and results. - Tune if needed; deliver docs, restore kit, SOPs, and a short user checklist. - Provide post‑delivery support and a rollback path if rules or missions change.

Hello I can disable or make the Remote ID on your DJI Agras T100 controllable through a safe, system-aware modification that preserves flight integrity and complies with your granted exemption. I’ve handled embedded systems where vendor-locked firmware and RF subsystems required controlled intervention without destabilizing core control loops. • Approach - Analyze RID implementation path (firmware + RF layer separation) - Identify whether RID is handled via: - Integrated flight controller firmware - Separate communication module - Two possible solutions: - Firmware-level patch (non-destructive, reversible) - Hardware-level isolation (selective signal gating or module control) - Implement safe toggle mechanism (if required) with no interference to flight stack - Validate via controlled test flights + telemetry verification • Deliverables - Modified T100 (RID disabled or toggleable) - Technical documentation of changes - Reversion method (restore original behavior) - Test validation report (safety + functionality) I’d like to clarify whether you prefer a reversible solution (toggle) or permanent disable, as that affects architecture choice. Regards, Nichita.
