Azure Cloud Engineer – Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Blob Storage & Secure Portal Setup We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud & Virtual Desktop Specialist to configure a secure, isolated work environment in Microsoft Azure for our technical subcontractors. The goal is to allow external clients to securely upload network configuration files into Azure Blob Storage, while allowing our contractors to view/process those files inside a pooled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment with strict Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls. Key Responsibilities & Technical Scope --------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Configuration Deploy a pooled Windows 11 Enterprise Multi-Session Host Pool using Depth-first load balancing and automated scaling. Set up user isolation with FSLogix Profile Containers and standard non-admin permissions for contractors. Configure Data Loss Prevention (DLP) session controls: Disable Local Drive Redirection (prevent downloading files to local BYOD storage). Allow Plain-Text Clipboard Redirection (for CLI/config copying). Enable Screen Capture Protection where applicable. Integrate identity authentication with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and enforce MFA. Configure Windows VDA Per-User Licensing / Per-User Access controls. 2. Azure Blob Storage & Secure Ingestion Set up an encrypted Azure Blob Storage container (client-uploads) in Azure Australia East. Configure CORS rules and User Delegation SAS Token generation (Write-Only permissions) for secure web upload integration. Mount/map storage access inside the AVD master image using Azure Storage Explorer or mapped drive access with Storage Blob Data Reader RBAC roles. 3. App Service / Web Hosting Integration (Optional Backend Wireup) Deploy a lightweight web app / Azure Function to host our custom upload form backend. Ensure internal endpoints/resources are securely isolated within the Azure VNet.
