Abstract Everyone, thanks for your bids, inquiries, suggestions & help from Jitendra S. @jitendras097 (thank you so much sir!). I just want to say this to begin: "Samsung disabled provisioning for Gear S3," yes, but "...only for new 2025 models, OS 14 or beyond." So, I don't hope to reverse that, nor create a miracle that's not feasible within that same time/genre/realm, but rather use an approach with older models / systems. If Samsung killed support and consequently, normal provisioning for Gear S3 moving forward, then it's done, can't be reversed potentially (through normal means). But, you can't kill something twice. If you killed things moving forward, you may not have killed everything going back then (past). Hence, that means opportunity, like here, if we can work with any older devices/systems that work, still can be restored to work, etc. (if you kill updates, you kill the opportunity to return once more and kill things again). Simply put, it appears that Samsung may have designed ways to kill support plus payment/cloud provisioning for again, Gear S3 for MST, thru Samsung Pay on said device, indeed. But, I see no evidence as of yet, that this has to be considered permanent for a true troubleshooter. Differently, what I see is this: Samsung is merely blocking, limiting, and obstructing legacy device and cloud provisioning within said app, of Samsung Pay, but upon said device and older/legacy cell phone only, initially. In other words, it is not actually or truly disabled on older devices, and the loop that is created to obstruct or block, is potentially in-need of merely a bypass, a real workaround to such, even if upon a different device, computer, or sideload scenario, belieavably. Opportunity here lies, but not in creating, but in restoring. No, I don't think we can afford anything at present to "recreate the wheel," nor do something that appears unrealistic. But, I will say that we do need some out-of-the-box - thinking still and person, a real troubleshooter with proven experience with Tizen OS, and success in solving specific Gear S3 verification problems with card / cloud provisioning. If any of this above is you, please advise and follow up to your existing bid (or present a new one). Diagnosis is fine and needs to happen, but if you have no real experience in solving this type of error before now, and with specifically - this Gear S3 with Samsung Pay for MST (not NFC), then diagnosis alone, with hope, is great, but not really enough. I believe we need someone that knows they can solve said problem and have done it before, probably more than once, have seen it and know about it before now. Lastly, here is my end opinion: the only thing permanent in life is either "death, or taxes," believably. - BREAK ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROJECT OVERVIEW 1. Budget = $250-500 Dollars, American (Sorry in advance, but I can't afford over that currently, as I need a LG Watch Sport troubleshot next) 2. Project Intent = work with any pre-2025 cell(s), Gear S3, OS, APKs, etc. (even if have to buy another) 3. Statis/Status = disabled provisioning (believably) 4. Specific problems/issues/errors = card provisioning, cloud provisioning with Samsung Pay app on phone, as paired to Gear S3. Card loop appears, verification not able to be completed, appearing like Samsung and or APIs are blocking said action to connect and approve/authenticate said action, phone, Gear S3, and or MST. 5. Error Message (i.e, in trying to "Validating your card information") = "Couldn't register card. Something went wrong. Try again later." 6. Theory / Needs = Creativity / Prior Gear S3 Troubleshoot Experience / Commitment Whether as engineer, developer, ethical hacker even, or more, a person that never gives up, refuses to take 'no' for an answer, but can also think outside of the box to troubleshoot in unconventional ways also, locate appropriate or even inappropriate workarounds, and, if all else fails, just design something new, may be needed here, potentially. 7. Focus * Backend focus / fix * MST Functionality restoration * Deprecated Platform (Tizen OS, Gear S3, Samsung Pay, OS <14, like Android 10 for example) * Legacy devices / hardware (Galaxy Note 9, Gear S3 smartwatch, MST, not NFC, to note) * Payment Solution / Card Management / Transaction Processing * Card Loop / Cloud / Card Provisioning / Verification * Certificates (officially signed / usage) * Tokenization (i.e., token handshake errors next, also possibly to consider??) * Other (APIs blocking of MST from above or authentication?) 8. Device Specification(s) * Smartwatch = Gear S3 (legacy) - Frontier - SM-R760 (D984) * Firmware = R760xxu2fvg1 * CSC Region = Unknown (but, this was what I could see in the paired phone settings still:) ------------------------------------------------------------ SAOMC_SM-N6OU_0YN_TMB_QQ_003 0 4259545331313498 TMB/TMB/VZW ----------------------------------------------------------- * Phone = flexible (currently paired to Galaxy Note 9, OS / Android 10, w/June 1, 22 patch) * Error logs: (to today's on newer app versions installed, not older APK), link to here: [login to view URL] * Rooting or Flashing = No, not applicable, not completed before now (nor hope to) - end ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you in advance, as I hope all this information better helps now (I am not a computer guy, sadly, so even trying to describe any of these problems, researching and studying such before now, or assisting with the future troubleshooting, are all a huge challenge for me, up till now, and in the future, my apologies hence in advance, plus me being on a tiny budget, sorry, but people, like myself, don't deserve to have our precious devices just abruptly cut, after paying for them, especially as newer devices actually SUCK, by even the same company, to note). Appreciative, - TizTime

I can help troubleshoot and restore Gear S3 Samsung Pay MST provisioning by working with legacy Tizen environments, older Android/Samsung Pay APK combinations, and backend provisioning/authentication flows to identify a stable workaround without rooting or risky flashing. I understand the issue appears related to Samsung’s newer provisioning restrictions rather than complete hardware disablement. I can assist with log analysis, legacy environment recreation, APK compatibility testing, token/provisioning diagnostics, and MST functionality troubleshooting for the Gear S3 SM-R760. I appreciate the detailed research you shared, and I’m confident this project needs structured legacy troubleshooting and creative workaround testing rather than generic diagnosis alone. Ready to review the logs and begin testing realistic restoration approaches for your Gear S3 setup.

Hi there, I understand you need deep troubleshooting for a Samsung Gear S3 SM-R760/SM-R600 Tizen-based Samsung Pay provisioning loop where MST payments fail because the watch can no longer properly authenticate or retain card provisioning through Samsung’s backend services. With strong experience across Android ecosystems, firmware-level debugging, API-driven systems, device configuration workflows, and complex troubleshooting environments, I can methodically investigate firmware compatibility, Samsung Pay plugin versions, CSC/region conflicts, provisioning failures, deprecated Tizen dependencies, and APK/firmware combinations that may restore MST functionality. I would approach this through staged diagnostics including log analysis, wearable plugin validation, legacy APK testing, firmware rollback compatibility checks, Samsung account region verification, Tizen Studio/device bridge inspection, and reproducible documentation of every successful configuration or workaround discovered. I’m happy to start with an initial consultation to evaluate the current firmware/software state and determine the most realistic recovery path for Samsung Pay MST support. Best regards, Stratos

Hi, Your Gear S3 issue is a highly specialized Samsung Pay and Tizen compatibility problem, and I would be glad to help investigate whether the MST payment functionality can be restored. I have experience with Android, wearable ecosystems, firmware-level troubleshooting, and software compatibility issues involving discontinued devices. For this project, I would systematically diagnose the pairing and card-provisioning loop, review firmware and CSC region settings, test compatible versions of the Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Wallet components, and determine whether a firmware, APK, or configuration workaround can allow card provisioning again. If a viable solution exists, I will document the exact files, settings, and steps needed so you can reproduce the setup in the future. If the limitation is caused by server-side deactivation or policy restrictions beyond device control, I will provide a clear technical explanation so you know precisely what is and is not possible. I am happy to begin with an initial consultation to assess the current firmware, region, and software state before agreeing on a final scope and cost. I would be grateful for the opportunity to help troubleshoot this issue and will gladly accept any feedback you may have. Best, Justin

Hi, this project focuses on restoring MST functionality on a legacy wearable platform, which requires precise handling of hardware-level communication and secure payment integration. The main engineering risk lies in ensuring reliable MST signal transmission and robust interaction with Samsung Pay under Tizen OS constraints. I usually structure such updates by isolating the hardware communication layer from the payment orchestration logic to maintain modularity and facilitate testing. Though my background is primarily in AI and backend systems rather than mobile wearable SDKs, I have experience in complex system integration and maintaining legacy codebases, which is relevant for this task. I recommend thorough validation of MST signal restoration with fallback mechanisms to handle transaction failures gracefully. Systems like this must be designed for stability and long-term maintainability given the sensitive nature of payment processing. I can help by outlining a modular architecture for MST signal handling and payment integration, ensuring clear separation of concerns and test coverage. Thanks, Hercules

Hello, I’ve worked with legacy Android/Tizen environments, deprecated APIs, provisioning/debug workflows, and device-level compatibility issues where vendors silently phase out backend support while older hardware still technically remains functional. Your analysis is thoughtful, and I agree this likely requires restoration/workaround logic rather than “rebuilding” Samsung Pay itself. What stands out here: • Gear S3 MST hardware still exists and functions • Older Android/Tizen combinations may still authenticate under specific conditions • The likely failure point is provisioning/token handshake/cloud verification rather than MST hardware itself • Legacy APK combinations, CSC region behavior, certificate validation, or API/version mismatches may still provide a viable path How I would approach this: • Analyze logs, provisioning flow, and Samsung Pay communication patterns • Test controlled combinations of: • Android versions • Samsung Pay APK versions • Gear plugin versions • CSC/region configs • Legacy phones (Note 9, S9, etc.) • Inspect tokenization/provisioning failures and network responses • Determine whether the block is: • Device-side • App-version-side • Account/region-side • Backend/API-side • Attempt safe non-root workarounds first before considering advanced options I’m comfortable working inside older ecosystems and continuing difficult troubleshooting where most developers stop after “unsupported.”

Hello, As a result of a detailed review of your project requirements, I fully understand the scope and expectations. I have experience troubleshooting Android/Tizen-based devices, firmware behavior, SDK integrations, and payment-service related system issues, and I'm available to start your project right now. I bring deep expertise in Android, Tizen SDK for Wearables, Samsung device troubleshooting, firmware analysis, wearable app environments, and system-level debugging with over 10 years of experience. One of the key challenges in projects like this is determining whether the Samsung Pay MST issue is caused by firmware region restrictions, provisioning failures, outdated certificates, Samsung backend deprecation, or device-level compatibility conflicts after support ended. I can help investigate the card-loading loop, analyze firmware/build compatibility, test possible configuration or region workarounds, and document the full recovery/troubleshooting process step-by-step so it can be reproduced later if successful. I understand the goal is specifically restoring MST functionality on the Gear S3 rather than NFC-only payments, so testing and validation would focus directly on MST provisioning and transaction behavior. I have a couple of quick questions. • Which phone model and Android version are currently paired with the Gear S3? • Has the watch firmware or CSC/region ever been modified previously? Best regards, Carlos.
