Children's Educational Animation Creation

Background: We conducted an experiment about how children (age 4-7) best learn from an animated video. The video was intended to teach them about including others who are different from them in their play. We wanted to know if they learned better from human (child) or dog characters. In that study, children learned better from the child version than the dog version, even though the stories were identical. Now, we want to know if it had to do with the emotional expression of the characters in that first study. We are specifically looking at whether it is something about children's ability to understand human emotional expressions more than dogs, or if children are better able to apply a video about children than one about dogs to their own beliefs and behaviors. Animation job: To that end, we are looking for an animator who can produce 3 versions of a 3-4 minute short with the same storyline, identical narration and music but with different characters. We will provide the music and narration; you would be responsible for creating the animation to go along with it. These would be 1) Dogs with dog-like characteristics/emotional expression; 2) Dogs with human-like emotional expressions, and 3) Humans with human characteristics/emotional expression. The storyline focuses on inclusion of a main character who is in a wheelchair and the audience for the shorts would primarily be young children between the ages of 4-8 years. I attached a screen shot from the animation from the initial study. The current study will need to have more emotional expression in the characters but the rest does not need to be more elaborate.
